It stems from our belief in the vital role of men and young boys in preventing violence against women and girls and the necessity for them to be actively involved in issues of sexual and re-productive health and rights and to focus on how sexual and reproductive health and rights inter-sect with gender and women’s rights. Gender inequality is not only the main vulnerability factor related to sexual and reproductive health and rights for women and girls, but gender norms also influence decision making and thus limit the ability to access sexual and reproductive health and rights.
